Use shell.mdl.

I also created a website called Rust Tools. It will calculate and tell you the raw amounts of resources needed to craft items.

i experienced crashes when setting null.mdl ( empty models ) and then looking at it
but only with players, not entities

I solved it using one of the HighFPS models

If it is a player model it's a low poly model, if it's a weapon model it's simply invisible!
I used the invisible weapon model and everything works fine!
