Counter-Strike Source CTD

Heya, this might not be the best forum to post this question but I can't be bothered reading the kiddie-plagued steampowered forums ;)

The story so far is that since the latest update, my cs:s crashes to desktop when I try to start it. I get to the loading screen (with the two swat guys in the background) and after a few seconds it ctd's saying:
DirectSound failed to init
Wave sound initialized
Sound sampling rate: 44100
First-chance exception at 0x0db27697 in hl2.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation writing location 0xffeeffee.
Unhandled exception at 0x0db27697 in hl2.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation writing location 0xffeeffee.

Any ideas? Maybe its just me having this problem...

Problem solved. I was missing a sound card
