Are we limited to just the 10 numeric menu keys ( 0 .. 9) or is there a way to use other keys and how would we check for them?

Thanks,

Well, if it goes according to ASCII, then (1<<10) would be ":" and (1<<11) would be ";"

But maybe it only looks at 0-9

Can we please get a definitive answer from someone on the amxx dev team (when time permits of course )? If we are limited to numeric keys for the current version what chance is there for a future release to have an expanded selection?

Thanks for any light you can shed!

Its a limitation of cs. You could use rebinds (bind q 11, bind w 12) though.

gotdilbert, wouldn't that only work if every player on the server had those binds ? If so that woudln't be a very robust solution...

Is it a limitation of CS specifically or all HL-derived mods?

Think about it as having to rebind to use keys such as "ultimate" or "shopmenu", everyone has to do it.

On the other hand, what would be REALLY cool if we could make menus like the new retail buy menu, the one where you can use your mouse ;).

Im fairly certain the keys correspond to the binds for "slot0-slot9" which means you could only have more if you had slot10.

I'm not 100% sure though

AMX/AMXX uses the menuselect client command to get menu keys
