Does the map normally use the L4D1 characters as NPCs (like in The Passing)?

Whenever a map does things with L4D1 NPCs, it happens to any player that's playing as an L4D1 survivor as well. This is why, for example, anyone playing as an L4D1 survivor at the start of The Passing campaign gets teleported onto the catwalk of the bridge where the Zoey/Francis usually are (if you don't use the stripper fix linked in the original post). As for Crash, I've yet to play it, but I can guess that there may be some logic entities in the map that are automatically killing or despawning the L4D1 survivors because they were previously used in a cutscene or something like that.

The only fix that I know of is using Stripper to dump the list of map entities, determine which ones are causing the issues, and then have Stripper delete the entities via their Hammer IDs. Lux uses this method when fixing this issue in The Passing (which you can find in the original post). I find looking through the dump file and doing what is basically trial and error to be pretty time consuming but it's the only viable way I can think of.
