Yes, 1.8.2 is stable. But also yes, 1.9 is better and has many new features ans bug-fixes. I've using 1.10 for years in many servers and haven't experienced any issues whatsoever.
If you're actually experiencing issues, you should report them ASAP and they usually get fixed quickly.

I always pay attention at what you say because somehow you are always right lol.
The errors i had mostly where for dhudmessage yes, and tag mismatch and loose indentation but in my inexperience i thought the plugin wouldn't work.
I did a clean, slow paced refresh to 1.10 and it went smoothly well, i cannot believe it.
I can say i tried to do this lots of time without success. This request is solved.
