Hi, I have a weird issue with friends request.

For some reason, the bot will cancel the friend request (sent by the bot's account) almost inmediately. This happen if the friend request was sent by the bot itself or if I do it from the steam page using the bot's account, and in both cases the bot's console shows me this:

>> RequestInitiator
Recorded steam friends : 2 / 255
>> None
Recorded steam friends : 1 / 255

If I close the bot's process, the friend request will be sent without any issues, so, for some reason, the bot is deleting the friend request.

Also, I can send a friend request from my account to the bot, and it will accept it without any problem, but I need that the bot itself sends the request.

I am experiencing the same bug. Bot is live and connected, adding friends manually works, but friend requests by the bot do not go through.

Any known fixes/debugging ideas?

I am on it now. It's weird. I'll check it out. Probably a problem with token and web api.

Hi! I want to know if you have any news about this? Now I cannot add my bot as friend by myself. For some reason steam shows me "Error adding Friend. Please try again". I don't know if my account or my bot was blocked for adding friends.

EDIT: Well, It seems that is a bug between Steam and the bot.
I read that sometimes the Friends system could be glitchy and you need to block and unblock the user in order to send a friend request... And it works... until the bot gets the call. For some reason now the bot is blocking every friend request with this in the logs (everything after // are comments from me):

Recorded steam friends : 3 / 255

//Unblocking the bot's user in steam
>> None
Recorded steam friends : 2 / 255

//Adding the bot as friend (from my account)
>> RequestRecipient
Recorded steam friends : 3 / 255
[U:1:XXXXXX] blocked OR manually removed bot, steam won't allow me to add him back as friend for a moment !

(I can confirm that the SteamID is mine)

Similar to Steam Group Annoucement, i would like to be able to post any text via admin command to steam group chat from the game. Also, not sure if that would be possible, but could bot reply to steam group chat messages too? Like if someone types "help" or any other defined chat trigger in steam group chat bot would reply with predefined reply. I think it would have been pretty cool

For your second suggestion, it's already implemented. Check the configuration file steamchattexts_public.xml
