Doesn't PODBOTS already come with weapon restrictions for bots? But I'm not sure whether that stops them from picking weapons up.

Picking up weapons in the beginning is not possible because all restricted weapons will be either replaced or removed in the map in the beginning.

Players cannot buy restriced weapons due to the default functionality of the restric plugin.

PODBOT has weapon restrict so it cannot buy restricted weapons. But this has to be manually configured from the config file and there is no CVAR for this so the setting is global.

The condition zero bots have built in restrictions but its only for a group of weapons like all Snipers. Cant restrict only AWP etc.

The bots do no follow the normal buy command so they can buy anything they want included restricted weapons.

So if you want only map specific restrictions, leave all bots configs unrestricted. The plugin will make them drop weapons if they buy restricted ones.

The only case where a player will drop a weapon is if he picks up a weapon dropped by the bot.

Moreover even though PODBOT is realistic in its movements. Its reaction time and accuracy are nothing compared to the CZ bot, even after manually editing the botskill.cfg file to give them maximum skill and no reaction time.

OK hope it gets approved now.
Cos this swaps weapons only if they're restricted. Using armoury editor you have to manually type in the command when you want to replace weapons and when you want them back to normal.

Here you just have to preconfigure all your weapon swaps. Then if that weapon is restricted only, it is automatically swapped.

And DROP is necessary because of the way the bots buy weapons.

  1. If i would going to write such plugin, i'd ask DEV team to implement a way to retrieve current restrictions from other plugins. Much more clear way instead of constantly update your plugin every time the default one is changed.
  2. You should use PCVar system: http://wiki.amxmodx.org/index.php/AM...#CVAR_Pointers
  3. You rather should trigger replace function on new round (freezetime start) instead of round start (freezetime end): http://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=42159
  4. You rather should just "hide"/"unhide" entities by altering its effects and solitity flags instead of its complete removal/creation. See scripting/include/hlsdk_const.inc for details.
  5. You rather should just safely remove weapon on drop instead of allowing to pick it up. For example you can look into fm_strip_user_gun function from the Fakemeta Utilities.
  6. You should add suport for stripping bots from restricted items and non-gun weapons. You can use the search tool to find more on this.
  7. Why not restore money back when bot buy a restricted item/weapon?
  8. Why do you use "a" repeat task flag event though in fact you actually not repeating the task?
