Not really. The game was originally designed for ONE player to use dial-up. It was NOT designed for a server to be hosted on dial-up which equates to MANY players using that same connection.

Exactly, I said Theoretically,If you couple in 56kbit/s transfer speed with 300ms latency, you could expect rate to be <50 and updaterate <10 ? (Used an online calculator, it said it was "Too low", assumed less than 10). Either way when I did the math, I could run a 12 player goldsource server with 10000 rate and 30 updaterate.
