Removing damagecustom makes it a non backstab.
If i recall, backstab is a percentage of health, so if you leave that damagecustom, its still going to do heaps of damage.

You may want to just do like, damage *= 3 or something and remove damagecustom, leave crit. I think bavkstabs are not actually crit, i forget, its like custom headshot, and just looks like a crit. Knife hits for like 30 so x3 will land you 90 dmg backstabs.

I did something like this for my ff2, so spies dont backstab, and instead do high damage melee crits, and can never accidentally stab hale for craptons of damage.

the original request was to make backstabs not crit. He didn't say ANYTHING about damage.

Wildcard, thanks for all your work on it so far! Unfortunately, whilst it now compiles, backstabs still register as crits. Any idea why this might be?

I don't know exactly how TF2 works around this, but I know that it used to be that backstabs simply did not crit on nocrit servers. So long as it registers as a backstab, the base damage should be double the enemies current health. By removing the crit flag, which is all I want removed, it should play the nocrit animation and still register as a backstab.
