I've started a project and I really need a model with multiple submodels.
I've first noticed this thing in the jailbreak models, where prisoner models have multiple textures.
I also found this while trying to research these models.

Anyways, I need someone who has a little time to explain these things to me and maybe point me in the right direction for making these. I don't need custom animations or anything, but when I try to decompile and recompile a default cs 1.6 model with jed's half life model viewer, I get the same error every time.

Error
"insert random string of characters here" not found
Aborting

yes yes this is what I'm talking about
but I can't really grasp the basics, I'll try some compilers mentioned there, I don't know, I thought that random string was some kind of protection so people don't steal models

-I forgot to add, I know how to use this in amxx. I need to learn how to make the model itself.

  • the paintballer model (from paintball mod) has a lot of sub-models.
  • check the .qc file to see the difference between mono and surround models.
  • try using other compilers/decompilers like the one in my signature (useful links > to remove the modelT).

omfg thank you so much
ive finally succesfully compiled a model
until now, I thought the random string error was some kind of protection people implement in models so people can't steal them

now i feel shit for not searching more
I managed to add skins, so fooken simple, thank you again
