Hi, MasterXP.

I seem to be having a problem giving my donators access to the fake section of fake and force, I've added things to the overrides but it just will not work. I could do with some help here.

I had already mentioned that I put them in override but it's still not working. It's "sm_faf_fake" right? And for force "sm_faf_force"?

No, it's just "faf_fake" and "faf_force". My apologies, that doesn't seem to be documented anywhere besides in the changelog.

However, I personally recommend that you don't allow donators (non-admins) to use the commands, as they'll then be able to use them on anyone, with (nearly) no limit. In the next version, I plan on adding a better system for donators to use it (only on themselves, and with configurable frequency limits)

Also, please don't PM me regarding plugin issues like this; I was typing up my response to you as you messaged me.

Ah, sorry, thought you were trying to set overrides for individual commands.

Sooprise! It's here, and it's not fake! Or...something. I'm not clever.

FAKE AND FORCE UNLIMITED (2.0)!
  • Plugin rewrite: now entirely customizable!
  • Commands can now be set as usable by non-admins; they'll only be able to use the commands on themselves
  • Added "Collector's" item quality
  • Non-Unique item names no longer have the quality name in front of the item's name
  • sm_forcecmd is now sm_fakecmd, and sm_forcecmd2 is now sm_forcecmd. Sorry if this causes confusion! Of course, you can use the new config to change it back if you'd like.
  • Removed "event" based fake commands such as sm_fakehhh; they'll be back soon with their own type.
I wanted to get this out today instead of much later, so I've cut the "event" type and commands that would have used it, like the fake boss spawns. They'll be added back in at some point; I'd like to make an elaborate system for the event type where you can set a bunch of the game event's keys.

Other than that, if there's anything I screwed up, let me know, because again, this is a bit of a sudden release. If not: enjoy!

Config goes in addons/sourcemod/configs/, and the plugin now requires More Colors in order to compile.

Use sm_fakecmd (fakes command) instead of sm_forcecmd (tries to get client to actually run the command) for say/say_team...or just use sm_fakesay.

...Also, I'm a bit surprised how no one else has posted since FaF 2.0, especially to complain about the continued lack of event commands...or the practical inability to make actual "announcement" commands (like sm_announce Hello everyone!)

Well complaining would be bad since you did it for fun to start with, no sense complaining about something you got for free right. I'm sure everyone here appreciates the work you did but hey if you get around to fixing the achievement annoucement that I think doesn't work correctly or add more features etc etc..then awesome I'm sure we will all thank you for it.
