Hey guys,

Fakemeta is so confusing to me. I haven't learned it yet so I can't edit the source code to fit my needs.

Can you Connor or anyone else, possibly recode this plugin to support more than one model per player?

In a way in which it can work in the following ways :
1. The #/number selected on the model selection menu after connect.
2. Or a randomly chosen model, amongst the models set for a player in the playermodels.ini file.

I would really appreciate that. Anyone who is an experienced coder can easily add the necessary changes tot eh code, strings and variables to make this work please.

hi why when i install this and i use my steam id it won't work :/ so pleasse an anyone help me by editing it , so here the model i willl use it named default as gsg9.mdl but i changed the name to kakarotto.mdl and not working so why pleasse !!

  • remove the double extention (.mdl.mdl).
should be like this:

disable some other plugins that may be interacting with this one.
make a local server using steamcmd, recreate the same configuration for tests.

it worked but the model take 6 minues to download it's 2 mb people will leave the server i knowa lot of people hate waiting something liek that to download :! is they're other faster way to doxwnload fast the model in at least 20 secondds ! it's just 2 mb

Sounds like it's not using the "fast-download" feature successfully (i.e. can't find what it wants with the "sv_downloadurl" path, etc.) and instead resorting to downloading in-protocol instead of HTTP.

Is your web-server Windows-based? or Linux-based?

If it's Linux-based, make sure everything is named in lower-case. The names of the files, the names of the folders, how the models are referred-to in the configuration, file, etc. - everything and try again?
