It's only logical to support the latest official version of any game (especially a really old one). When you change how the game engine does what it does, you can't really support it. It's not entirely a legal or moral thing but rather a logical consequence of reality.

If you were the person to own the rights to it then your opinion would matter. Seeing as Valve Software owns all rights to the game, it's their decision whether or not to charge for the game.

Right, atlease he made something good and fixed VALVe's bug that they didn't even want to fix it since they are not supporting Gold Source anymore.

They did not want to fix what? Do you have any reference saying they did not fix it? Because I clearly have the changelog mentioning the fix to this exploit with Feb 2013 release.

I hope you are not using the same build as the thread requires : Build 5758. This forum only supports latest version of HLDS and mods related to it.

Also mind the date of release of this thread. It was released in September 2013. By August 2013, there was already a release of HLDS Build 6132 and for beta users, 6153. This exploit has no significance in any of these builds.
