The first time SCRDS boots, changes made in items_game are in effect but every map change afterwards reverts the changes back to default.

Is there a way to make the server not use the default items_game.txt after the first boot up?
I want to change the "item_class" attribute so a flamethrower can become a minigun and stuff. I do not think TF2items can do this.

I'm fairly certain that's what TF2Items_SetClassname/OVERRIDE_CLASSNAME do...to be honest, though, I've never used them successfully in the few times that I've tried, way back when.

If that fails, you can always just replace the item with another item.

items_game.txt isn't meant to be overwritable and the game will replace it with the contents of the item schema once it's fetched.

SetClassname and OVERRIDE_CLASSNAME seems to be broken? https://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?p=2046815

I'm trying this right now where it should be reading "class" as key and "x" as value but it just seems to strip away everything except the melee weapons.

On an alternative thought, if there's no way to normally overwrite the item schema then is there a way to simply block it from changing it?
