Is it possible to change the editors background color in amxx studio from white to black?

Yes.
Extras -> Preferences -> Editor -> Other -> Advanced -> LanguageManager -> Defaults -> Background

You will probably have to edit some selected colors in whatever theme you're using as well.

i dont have a Extras tab on main menu?

Tip: go with notepad++, saves you more time in the long run.

I was thinking about pawn studio as it's got a compiler option altho I haven't gone thru notepad++ fully.

Sorry. Thought they were similar.
In the folder "config" you have a file called Editor.sci. On the second line, under the "[default]" tag you'll find this:

style=fore:clBlack,back:clWhite,size:8,font:Courier,notbold,notitalics,notunderlined,visible,noteolfilled,changeable,nothotspot
You can enter a hexadecimal value as long as you put a fence in front of it. For example:

not working... did exactly as you shown and the background color behind the scripting is still white.
