So I kinda figured out that you can modify hats and misc. items with the tf2.weapons.txt file.
Doing so, I modified one of my Engineer hats to change the quality to Unusual and added a particle effect. Other players could still see the hat, and upon inspection, saw it as Unusual and having a particle effect.
This led me to wonder "Why doesn't the extension just block the IDs of hats/misc items from being changed? Restrict it to weapon IDs only.". I know similar issues have happened in the past with the Equipment Manager plugin, and I don't want to see TF2Items become completely broken by Valve, so I figured I'd submit this thread and see where it goes.
