I was very happy the moment when I saw your post of updated Perks.

I'm using this on linux server for co-op.

When we reached the next stage the perks choices got reset and I have to select again.

Usually I only set it on the first round then subsequently it will remember my choices and I just need to press '3' to confirm.

hi, tponcho! There is still the ancient memory leak bug present. SM unloads the plugin once a day because of that. AFter that the cfg file is not being read, instead it shows all perks for everyone.

Use a Keybind
bind "u" "say !usepoints" this is preferred to bind "u" "sm_usepoints" as it echos the command to the chat window letting other players know of its use.

Hi folks,

I was wondering if anyone could link/post the previous version of this plugin (pre Nov. 2013). I've scoured the internet everywhere but this thread is only place I can find the file.

I've recently set up a linux server in place of my previous Windows server when I upgraded my PC, and unfortunately my mod repository was lost and I've had to redownload everything. I've set everything up exactly as it was before except this time using the recently updated version of Perkmod. Perkmod itself works fine, however, I've noticed that GunControl does not work if the NEW Perkmod version is installed (works fine until I drag in perkmod2.smx). This may simply be due to the weird linux cfg issue as has been mentioned here previously, as I'm almost certain this still works fine on Windows. I'd like to try the previous version of Perkmod to see if this allows GunControl to work again. Thanks for any help in advance.

It seems that GunControl is being executed correctly, and default values are working in-game, with or without Perkmod. The problem seems to be that the "l4d2_guncontrol.cfg" is not being read whenever Perkmod is in use, so any modifications to the .cfg file aren't taking effect. All permissions seem legit so I have to assume it's not anything Perkmod-specific at this point.
