DoS attacks against SRCDS is varied. The above linked extension only protects against empty packets. And attempts to log the attacks. Unfortunately, I need to question the sanity of keeping a list of attacking IPs considering UPD can be spoofed easily. In effect the anti-DoS linked above can become a source of a box wide DoS instead.

A lot of attacks don't bother with bad sizes. The use normal legitimate packets and just spam a lot of them.

in my experience if dos fails they move onto DDoS anyways
