The reason why this is happening, is because the default maps for L4D2 do not normally support over 4 survivor players, therefore, you will have messed up spawning, there is really nothing anyone can do for the mod it's self,
I believe there is a sourcemod map tool out there, that can allow you to create custom spawn points based on the coordinates specified, for example,
set player spawn point at 2939 3456 37745.
^ using x,y,z.
Not sure if it supports L4D2, but meh, it's your best bet.
