Client Connects to server
server forces to record him DEMO when he joins/picks a team
and after it records, map changes it starts recordig demo again with that same demo name and replacing old one.
Demo stays on clientside (default) /cstrike folder

The Reason of this is simple: admin bans anybody for cheating he can just go to server forums or join irc and send/upload demo to admin or forum and proof he wasn't cheating.. i think anybody will say HLTV is the BEST for demos etc but i don't need hltv i need Clientside demo recorder!

Anybody Got the point and skills to do this? regards ketch.

very nice idea, I had a similar one .

I know there is a amxx-plugin (managing clanwars), which actually starts demo-record on each client (nice filename format like 20060312-de_dust2-pl2003.dem).

downside is the really big amount of data generated, if you play often on a server. simple solution: a static filename. the banned player will allways have the demo of the time he got banned.
a screenshot of the stats at the ban time would be nice as well.

would anyone do this, please?

I can easily make this plugin but do you realize how big the file would be? If you still want it I will make it but not release it publicly because it would never get approved because its a bad idea. A better idea would be to create a new demo every round or something or every 5 or so many rounds because I'm tellin you it takes forever to look through 50 rounds of cs action.

This can easily be done though... easy... Reply if you still want it. Potentially you could fill a persons computer up with .dem files and that could get you into serious trouble for people with old computers and small hard drives that don't even know how to record a demo let alone know that it is being recorded or that it is in their cstrike folder.

So let's say you got jo shmoe comes in and he's 14 years old and is new to CS plays for like 6 hours and then his hard drive fills up and his computer crashes. That is not a good thing for that guy and he was just playing CS. Just remember that stuff if you reply and request this because it doesn't sound like a good idea to force mass amounts of anything onto a client-side pc.

Worthless since demos don't even show hacks if watched from a nonhacker's computer.

It's not that hard to check a person

spectate someone in first person then in console:

"amx_execclient "person" snapshot;snapshot"

Tell them to send you their last snapshot file for the map you were on. When they do find your last snapshot for that map as well and compare them to make sure they sent you the right one. There ya go

/end

Except that 99.99% of people who have a aimbot just downloaded a multihack, thus you'll see their other esp hacks along with it. Not to mention just make a demo yourself while spectating them because its the same thing and having them send you a demo of what you'd see from your own demo is pointless.

If they record the demo, it should look EXACTLY how they played in game, shouldn't it? It works the same way a screen shot would, if the hack doesn't show up in the demo, it sure as hell shouldn't show up in the screen shot.

Demos and screenshots work completely different. A hack would show up on a screenshot. Demos record network data, not images of the screen.
