I noticed earlier today that even with this plugin installed, someone was able to continuously spam the Pyro's Rainblower taunt.

I haven't seen/had any crashes from this exploit since putting this on a while ago now. I don't know if the exploit still exists, but I assume it does. And powerlord, were they able to spam the taunt for a long period of time, or did they get rate limited in some way where they could only spam bursts at a time?

As far as I can tell, they weren't getting limited at all. Did I mention the server crashed shortly afterwards?

Granted, this was before the big patch last week.

What seems to happen is they are able to send lots of taunt commands my manipulating some packets. Blocking the command should stop it from happening though. If you or somone else wants to test the exploit or knows how, that would be most good... The entities are created extremely fast.

is this plugin still useful? or is said bug/exploit fixed now?

Valve already addressed and "fixed" the particle issue a while ago.

Good, then unapprove it.

May still have uses for server ops wishing to limit taunt spam, or for VSH servers wishing to prevent players from huntsman taunt-locking the boss. But yep.

Updated to work with new taunt system (to block primary/secondary taunts).
I didn't take too much time to see if you can block individual/specific taunts.
If anyone finds the netprops or whatever, let me know. I'm thinking it might be done with KVs though.

Wanted to ask if there is a version that can block the command entirely, not even allowing the menu selection from showing since this isn't stopping them still.

Afaik the client does not send the command until after they chose a taunt if they have multiple taunts equipped. This would be sent by and predicted by the client. I don't think that there is a way to disable taunts on the client (the client gets this info from the item server, not the game server), but there may be a way. Someone else may know a way. All this plugin can detect is when a client actually sends a taunt command.
