Oh; using inflictor allows me to distinguish between direct hits and afterburn, which is a great shortcut that removes a lot of bulk from the overall plugin. Melee strikes returned "player," so I just ran with it. The class-name is actually very broadly used, which is why the "is the attacker a Pyro"-check is done alongside the string-comparison.
Thanks for the declaration- and client-tips, though! Since I've got a ham-fisted "examine each client-slot"-function running on each frame, the last thing I need is to bog down active collision as well. ^^;
LAST THING:
Is there any way to tell if the Spy-cicle's immunity has been activated? I've set up a timing-system, but I need to give it a trigger.
