Hi, I been reading the scripting tutorial in the AMXMODX documentation a little. Im at the "Pawn Language Basics" at "strings" and so far I don't understand ANYTHING at all. I have no knowledge of scripting or coding. Do you think I should keep reading the whole documentation? Will I be avible to script some easy plugins after I read it all you think? Or should I save myself some time and stop trying to learn all this right now? I just don't want to read the whole documentation for 5 hours (Or what it might take) and still know nothing about scripting.

Its a good idea to read the whole doc.

Experiement with small, really basic scripts and functions and go from there.

It's called Pawn now, despite the "Small" tags on here ;)

What I did was make a good friend on here that knew his stuff and asked him questions, post in the forums once every now and then, etc. Also, it helps if you look at the source of plugins and figure out how they work. Start by either making a small plugin or modify an existing one ( but don't release it ).

When you start your first plugin, have a look at this tool: http://www.amxmodx.org/funcwiki.php

It well help you a LOT for reference and such.

Last but not least, NEVER give up!

P.S. I'm not too good at explaining things to other people but I try my best

I also created a website called Rust Tools. It will calculate and tell you the raw amounts of resources needed to craft items.

AM/PM was joking. These forums exist, in large part, to answer questions. Most questions are better suited for the forums as opposed to private messages. That way others can learn as well.
