This plugin is made to help admin track down problems on the server making it lag, you can have the plugin display realtime ( via hudmessages ) the server fps current
entitys and so on. Its also capeble of logging this information to a file for later viewing pleasure.

Usage:
say /showstats <on/off>
amx_showstats <on/off>

Modules required:
Engine

This plugin is kind of a ripof from prodigys metamod plugin ( www.modns.org )

FAQ)
Q) When i installed this plugin my server starts to lag!
A) If your server is allready having FPS issues installing another plugin is never gonna help

Q) When i show stats to myself i no longer see color messages!
A) when showing stats this plugin will use hudchannel 1 ( change in define section ) and no other plugin will mange to use it.

Granted this is cool :] but hooking server frame scares me

Would it be possible to use register_logevent to capture HL's ability to log statistics?

i agree, i tried that a while back. But with no luck. But it was a while back, i might give it a new try.

This was kind of the reason i asked if you could make native to extract the info.
Im proberbly also going to update it so it only couns ents (in cs at least ) on round starts.

Update:
  • Changelog:
    1.0.1 ( 28.05.2004 )
    - Changed: Logging format its now: <time data was gotten> <fps> <enitity count> <player count>
    - Removed: When the log is written from the buffer it no longer writes the time it starts to write the log
    - Fixed: A bug where g_ShowStats[0] would not get updated if the client disconnected & had showstats enabled

I now included my uber GenStats.exe to read the log file, its very much beta. The secound program i have ever writen in anything other then small. Its made in C#

Hey, nice plugin so far. the logs work great, but I am having trouble viewing in game. They flash for like 1/4 of a second every 2 or so seconds, which is hardly enough for me to read anything. Any clue why? Running amxx .20 and uwc3
