Hum thanks you guys for answering.

I was banning his IP in iptables, but we allways change the "final value of the IP". So I did block the whole range, didn't see him anymore. I know I will block some more players, but I need do this.

Thanks

But what happens if you get lots of ban appeals of innocent players who cannot join? All for the sake of one player?

Collatorall damage loosing 1 or 2 players to get rid of a hacker is worth it.
I used to ip ban entire nations, cause they cheat so much in general.

I did search in my gameme log, kind of 200 players won't be able to join in my server anymore, but I had to do this. He can join in my server using an ID that is already banned and f*cking everyone. My server is fine now.

Is there many or few regulars on that list who cannot join now?

I needed block 2 IP ranges in Brazil because this player has 2 different ranges But he is from a far away State that don't have so many players, in my count kind of 200. If it was in São Paulo (the highest state in my country) I would lost more than 5 k players. So only 200 players and block forever this cheater, I choose lose some more players and doesn't allow him to play.

I would simple ban the players new or most recent IP address when he reappears.
If you have HLSTats running on your server check in the admin login for player IP address.
Ban these individually and as the play continues to connect ban the new ones.

You can also check the players location for new Steam IDs and cross reference.

For me, this wouldn't solve my problem. He was able to change the IP every time, just disconnect and re-connect the IP changes. So, blocking the whole range was the solution.

Yeah I did, but let me tell you a thing. This cheater, has a youtube channel with his own cheat to "download by free", but this cheat has a keyloger or whatever, so he can steal the accounts from the stupids guys that tried use his cheat. So, I had banned more than 30 accounts that he had stolen, I did opened a thread at steamforums telling about him, no no help at all. And now he was using an exploit to join in the server even with ban.

Definitely banning his whole range was the best for my community server. He is not able to join since january-20.
