use photoshop RGB first, then make it INDEXED, then save as .bmp and finally use SprWizard to make it a .spr file

You don't need photoshop. Just convert the image to 256 colors (or 8bit). Also keep in mind, without scaling, every pixel is one ingame unit, so 72 pixels is as high as a player.

I did it using paint and sprite explorer only.
You can use 24-Bit.

The max size isn't 552x552, it's just some filesize I think. Like 551x553, 550x554, just a filesize. Also, 8bit files use less memory. I remember that some format could be 24-bit, but you can't index it right and make an alpha. I know map skyboxes are.

Its not related to size of the sprit becoz i made a sprite which consisted of 5, 24-bit bmp files and each had a resolution of 552x552. If i increasd there resolution by even 1 pixel, the server crashed. Thn i made a sprite consisting of 1, 24-bit bmp file with 552x552 resolution and if i increased the resolution by 1 pixel the same thing happenned and the server crashed.
