I was hoping someone would help me with the following task.

I am running a custom L4D server in which I use sm_cvar (in a config file) to change a lot of, well...cvars when the game starts. I would like to suppress the broadcast of these changes, as it always says:

[SM}Console: cvar XXX changed to YYY.

I found a plugin that can be used for regular cvars such as "mp_friendlyfire" and whatnot, but it does not seem to affect cvars changed through the use of sm_cvar.

Any help would be appreciated.

I feel really dumb, seeing as I just spent 3 hours trying to find a way to do this. Google was NO help whatsoever.

Thank you very much.

Sorry for the huge necro, but would there be anyway to hide Console actions from EVERYONE, without hiding the actions of actual admins from other admins?

I want the functionality of sm_show_activity "28" but with "[SM] Console:" messages always hidden.

Is this possible?

...cfg\sourcemod\sourcemod.cfg
Code:
// Specifies how admin activity should be relayed to users. Add up the values
// below to get the functionality you want.
// 1: Show admin activity to non-admins anonymously.
// 2: If 1 is specified, admin names will be shown.
// 4: Show admin activity to admins anonymously.
// 8: If 4 is specified, admin names will be shown.
// 16: Always show admin names to root users.
// --
// Default: 13 (1+4+8)
sm_show_activity 12

You didn't answer my question?

I am asking for a way to:
  1. Hide all admin activity from non-admins. To achieve this, I simply would not add 1 or 2 to the value, correct?
  2. Show all commands run by admins to all other admins, showing admin names. To achieve this, I would add 4 and 8 to the value, correct?
  3. Hide all CONSOLE activity from EVERYONE, INCLUDING ROOT ADMINS.

Can you please inform me as to what value of sm_show_activity could possibly fit that? Because I am at a loss.

Can't.
CONSOLE is admin with root access, same activity like other admins.
You just stop executing those admin commands from server console, that's it.

That's it? It wouldn't even be possible to create a plugin that hides the actions of only certain admins?

I asked if it was possible, not if YOU could make such a plugin, lol.

Anyway, thanks! This really helps when running plugins like this.
