Some maps i have crash my server due to the 512 limit, I know this can't be changed but i was just wondering how come that that map van be played on other servers?
does it mean that servers that can run a map like this is NON-Steam?

also, isnt it correct that its possible to disable some entities of a map with a plugin making the item count less then 512? if so what's the name of that plugin?

Simply decrease the amount of items you are precaching

You probably have some extra plugins which plays custom sounds, show custom models or sprites. These adds to the count of items you have, and if the map has like 300, and the server itself has 200 then there is 12 left for those plugins.

The numbers are fiction, I have no idea how many items is loaded by hlds when it starts.
