I added -nomaster to my sv shortcut. I will wait for valve fix, but i'm not sure if they will fix this..
because of CS:GO

cs 1.6 for valve is an old game and they don't care more about this.. maybe i'm right?

Just like Mihn Lee a.k.a Gooseman said "why people still playing this crappy game?".

Seems like you can ignore the sign and still use LAN....
I found my server in the Lan section of the server browser

I know this is an old post, but I found a solution of my own
My HLDS was located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Valve\HLServer

but whenever I typed that in the steamcmd, It seems like the space after 'Program' registered it as the end of file directory.
SO it kept reinstalling in the folder 'Program' in the C drive.........

When I tried the launcher in the 'Program' folder, it worked FLAWLESSLY!
I just had to share this here in case anybody was killing themselves trying to figure this out.

Have you tried putting the path in quotes? Like
Code:
force_install_dir "C:\Program Files (x86)\Valve\HLServer"
(with a + in front of force_install_dir if this is on the command line)

Indeed it is because a space stops the parameter, unless you make it in quotes.

Any idea as to why that happens? It works sometimes without quotes and sometimes with quotes.

And to the man who found a solution, this thread speaks of HLDSUpdateTool. That is long gone for anyone else that is concerned and should not be used to update your servers. STEAMCMD is your ally.
