An AMXBans user reported that they could only get 256 admins loaded and when I did some digging, I found that Pawn had a hard limit, can't remember when I found it, I look again to see if I can find it

Pawn doesn't exist only for AMX-X, it has no idea to limit admins. Are you referring to some aspect of the language that limits AMXBans to 256 admins based on the way it was coded?

I am aware of that. I used the term "admins" in context to this thread. I can't seem to find where I came to this conclusion right now, hopefully I will find it later.

AMXBans uses the same method to store the Admins as the Base AMXX plugin, using the admins_* functions.

Okay, I can't figure out where I found that but I just did a little test of my own and found that I am wrong (at least when loading from a file, haven't tried SQL yet)

Created a users.ini file with 501 admins (last one being assigned to the SteamID "BOT")
Created a CZero server and installed AMXX
Added my users.ini file
Added a bot and AMXX logged that it became an admin


I'll do some more tests later to see if I can backup my original statement, but as it stands now, I am incorrect. Sorry

EDIT: Base SQL version tested, bot successfully logs in as admin

EDIT2: Just finished testing AMXBans, the bot gains admin when loading from file and sql. So I am stumped as to how I came to this conclusion

Another Q, when amx_mode is set to 2
and you are not listed in the user.ini
upon trying to connect to the server you'll get this message.

"Reason: Kicked: "You have no entery to the server..."

where could I change this message?
