You don't need a demo to play a demo. Your best bet is to download Complexity Demo Player or do in console

You can simply share the demo file. The only time a conversion would be necessary is when the intended recipient doesn't have the map that the demo was created on.

If you're in windows, simply right-click on the file, select "send to" and then select "compressed zip file" and the demo file will be sent to a zip file. This may make it easier to e-mail to the individual or post to some website for them to download (as well as making the file a bit smaller).

Otherwise, you can get FRAPS (I've never used it, so I'm not speaking from experience on this point) and you can convert the file.
