Hello! I like to play L4D2! But sometimes it just doesn't fit in the No Mercy level Valve made. It's up to you, the modders to make it for me! Since I have no experience with it.
Warning!: This is going to be a big project!

I'm going to make it like a FAQ thing. Except questions and my answers would be to them. More like info. Most of the times, they are linked.

=Questions & Answers=

Q: When survivors die normally, should I just make them turn into a ragdoll?
A: Yes. Ragdolls for the Survivors were in the first game.
Q: Should I use the same ragdoll that Valve made?
A: Well, yes AND no. You see, if you use Valve's ragdoll they made for the survivors, you are going to see that it's not really... "Flexible". The good thing about it is that it doesn't require extra files. If you make one, it could cause a lag to have a higher chance of becoming super. The good thing about it is that it would be flexible.

Q: Should there be any graphical changes?
A: No. If you want to change the pistols to L4D style, that's fine but not any major changes that I know.
Q: What about Audio?
A: Nothing. Unless you want to create a fix where the L4D1 survivors aren't talking to each other in No Mercy - Hospital. (4)

Q: Any A.I Director Changes?
A: Only a little. It should not spawn defibrillators.
Q: Are Melee Weapons allowed?
A: No melee. In L4D1, there are no evidence of melee weapons.
Q:What about magnums?
A: No magnums, obviously.
Q: Can Laser Sights be included?
A:That's a difficult one. The laser sights were originally made for L4D1, but implented in L4D2. So, I guess they can be toggle on/off.
Q: What about ammo upgrades?
A: No.


Q: Are the Jockey, Spitter and the Charger still allowed?
A: No. They are only in L4D2 obviously... I think you can either disable them or fiddle with their max spawn limit.
Q:Should I change the skin?
A: No. I'm fine with the L4D1 Specials VPK.

For the last one either use Crow's annoying item remover or stripper source config, perosnally strippers better to use, but crows annoying item remover is easier.

The only primary reason why they took away ragdoll's in L4D2 was because it wouldn't go well with the defib. :[

Removing SI is cvar configurable.

z_hunter_limit 4;
z_charger_limit 0;
etc.
There's also z_versus_hunter_limit; survival_hunter_limit_increase, which refer to player-zombie limits, and increases over time in survival. You should set all of these to 0 for SI you don't want.

I have a rule-based plugin for converting/removing weapons:

It should let you specify that L4D2-specific weapons should be converted to L4D1 weapons, and which should be removed. Hasn't been tested much.

Can't say anything about ragdolls, though. GL with that.

i have question, how to make chance 3hunters&1smoker for quadcap?

i using confogl and using this command on own cfg
confogl_addcvar z_versus_spitter_limit 0
confogl_addcvar z_versus_smoker_limit 1
confogl_addcvar z_versus_jockey_limit 0
confogl_addcvar z_versus_charger_limit 0
confogl_addcvar z_versus_hunter_limit 3
confogl_addcvar z_versus_boomer_limit 1

Uhh, post_in_new_thread.exe ? @OP: Pretty much everything you've said you wanted is doable by already existing features of sourcemod, and plugins :S
