This apparently wasn't released to the public, and apparently is now broken because of the "no custom hats" update?

Anyone think they can make it? Would love to see it.

And yes, there is a way to bypass valve's "no hat" block. I know some servers that still have custom hats plugin running, I guess they just found a way to bypass it, but won't share, being afraid that valve will block that too.

So anyone up to it?

Because it's not finished yet! It's still in the alpha stages. Pawn over at 3-PG is a very busy man so it may be a while. They are not releasing it publicly until it's finish because they don't want somebody else to finish it up and steal the credit.

Yes that is a problem. The only way it is working now is via a hack. Any unlockable/new weapons you have equipped will show up invisible when the mod is running.

Don't bother. Just wait for Pawn to get around to finishing it. Besides it would be a lot of hard work, besides I think Pawn is most of the way there (judging by personal experience with the mod (as of test #2)).

I've not seen one. Does your unlocked/new weapons show up visible? If so somebody might want to share it with Pawn. I wonder how they are doing it, because attaching something to the character causes the invisible weapon problem.

I agree with Kisho; just wait for them to finish it.
However, if you're too impatient and still want it in plugin-form, the plugin could work something like this one, where the portals are spawned with commands as opposed to using a portal gun: http://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?p=1200426

Guyz i am (or trying) to develop the mod similar to L4D2 Plugin

first of all im using the engineers teleporting files to custom teleport over maps (edit ctx and attributes)

second when i tried to use this L4D2 portal plugin in tf2 it just shows ERROR (its incompatible), I have attached a custom skin for it which ill be uploading soon with the modified plugin. (i have my doubts)
anyway i've created a portal gun weapon using portals file by replacing Natascha

and ive been given the weapon when i spawn as heavy
