CS help

hey, im hoping some of you can help me

when i play cs, every 3-5 minutes i lag, everything stops for about 2 seconds and then it works fine again... i have my internet set on T1/LAN and am running about 50-80 ping... any ideas?

(BTW, im on cable)

T1 by definition is a variant of DSL... but I'm not going to argue that.

If you are on wireless, I get the same thing.

Also cable has been known to do that for me too. You should try minimizing the next time you catch it and ping or check a website.

Also some routers / networking equipment suck.

Well, i have a netgear router and it bites... it disconnects everyones internet once every 2 hours or so, were looking into getting a linksys one soon... and i am on wireless internet

Wireless from your machine ---> router or from router ---> internet?

cable comes from wall, goes into modem, goes into router, wirelessly sends to 3 computers and hard wires to 1 other computer

That's why. Wait until 802.11n before you start expecting anything decent of wireless. You'll find it's even worse if you're running 802.11a or b. g isn't too bad, but it's definately worse than Ethernet.

well this didnt used to happen to me... it worked fine about a month ago, and nothings changed since then cept that i quit cs and then started playing again

Then I don't know, but I've never experienced stability in wireless networking.

yup same here .. even with normal lan play wireless lags me out..
it'f handy and fun if you have a normal network for sharing things or so
but not if you want to play on-line or trough lan :\

something simular hapend to me too, but i found that someone had mess with my config so my rate was 1500 :/
