In L4D2 it only plays for that specific person. Is there a way to have it stream to all connected clients?
Nope, that's how it is supposed to work, it's client side via motd browser. But it does give the song id in chat so someone else can listen to it if they want.

Hope you understand me now.
That's odd, doesn't work that way in TF2, you can do a song without doing /gs first. Maybe the motd panel isn't initialized defaultly in l4d2 or something. If that is the case you could probably do /gs and immediately close it then continue with specific song commands. When I get some more time I'll look into seeing if I can work around it.

If you join the server and automatically try to play a specific song it will not play.

You must first let the GS MOTD load first before you can play any song.

and 1 more thing, no pause option or stop option?
Was this on L4D2 as well?

Can't have an option to pause, but I did forget to add an option to stop, I'll add it in the next update. For now you can workaround it by doing /gs with no parameters.

Nice job!
Mind adding a sm_gsstop command to stop/pause playback?

If possible could you add a cvar to toggle whether or not the song info shows upon using a search term?
I should also point out that when using the search term a song may not always play for some reason..

Also apparently while viewing grooveshark in the motd, if you get killed while viewing it it closes whateve you were looking at.

You get knocked out of the grooveshark song browser when you get killed. (TF2)
It also seems that using sm_gs <songname> either will either always work, or do nothing at all and just reply with unknown command sm_gs. Most of the time it just replies with "Cannot find song" or "Unknown command".

EDIT: After being afk for like 30 minutes, I came back and tried the same thing and it decided to work normally..

EDIT2: Next day same unknown command. Is there a wait time before you can even search using keywords?

I am pretty much have the same issues as Sreaper. Like I can hardly get the sm_gs <songname> to work, usually I just get unknown command: sm_gs. Sometimes sm_gs wont even work in console but work in chat when i do /gs. I also have this installed for TF2.

May have found your bug:
