I personally have not used the tools yet. I have some questions about this:

1) Where can I get the tools for Linux? I'd like to look into maybe some sort of way of speeding up the process and automate it

2) The modded hats I noticed use filenames that match those from valve so they replace them. materials\models\* are custom named, but models\* matches valve's names. What should one name the files under models\* after the changes so they DON'T conflict?

3) What sort of modifications need to be done? How easy might it be for one to use regular expressions to automate these changes?

When someone converts that custom pack with the head bone could you post it here. We would sure love you to death.

You are not allowed to equip the Valve hats! Didn't you read the TF2itemlist file?

Also it doesn't work with 117, only you will see the hats but others don't.

Indeed the pack contains all the config files so you only have to upload them to your server and edit the tf2itemlist file. This seems to be related to the illumination of the model which is something that has to be changed in each model. I'm willing to fix this for all models but i don't have any modeling experience. I need someone who can model to show me how to do it once so i can repeat it for all broken models. Damizean told me the illumposition in the qc file should be pointing to the head bone. I tried some stuff but didn't work.

I also ported a lot of models from FPSB myself and wanted to release them as pack but some of these have the same problem.
If someone can get me a copy, I can put it on my filehost and provide a link here.
