I got this plugin to write the messages, But then they all just disapear after a minute or two.

Because decals are shown in an order, and when a new decals is drawn, if the limit (client setting) is reached, the oldest one dissapear.
Decals are bullet holes, sprays, blood, etc...
Check your mp_decals value.

A system could be made so each new round messages are re-drawn, but it belongs to the author to make it or not.

all my settings are correct though. I have se those parametrs the way the plugins author said to.

I think it has to do with the surface I'm writing on in DOD. In dod there are many types of surfaces and some you cannot right on at all.

I think this plugin was mostly tested on CS 1.6 and if I use it with DOD, I will only be able to use it with maps like dod_orange. Other DOD maps with regular wad files, it doesn't want to work correctly.


I pay a coder to code private plugins for me, So i will just have him fix this or make a new one from scratch that will work correctly with DOD.

As I said in the first post, decals are repainted on the new round event, and client connect event. Unsaved or deleted decals are not repainted. I tested on CS 1.6, so perhaps DoD has a different new round event.

If you can make a bullet hole, spray paint, or grenade blast on the surface, then you can write on it. If not, then you cannot write on it.

Nope, not possible. If you want special characters or text color, then you will need to use custom sprites. Clients will have to download the custom sprites. I prefer to have no downloads for clients.

thanks for the cool plugin....

... rated 4 stars.... if you made it able to flip the text backwards for backwards map textures; and ability to at least use "." ... i would have rated 5 stars...
