I'm looking but still haven't found a SourceMod plugin for TF2 which will allow me to enable the halloween taunt and allow the halloween paper bag hat to be worn, regardless of the time of year. Seeing as I can't find one, I'm requesting one if it is at all possible. The way the taunt and the hat restriction works is it checks servers local clock (not sure the total date range for the restriction but just having it always October 31 works (try it for yourself if you don't believe me [local in-game server])). The problem with changing the server's local clock is it screws with the logs and file modification dates. Is there anyway to feed the date only to the taunt and item date restriction code?

I can't program to save my life, else I'd try to make it myself.


NOTE: The paperbag hat and halloween taunt is regulated by server's time and date, changing your local clock to use them only works if your hosting from that machine, it will not work on servers with the correct time and date (even if your date is October 31).

I was considering making a patch to SM's TF2 extension to add a detour on GetHoliday. You would then be able to do something similar in an SM plugin.

Ex.

I assume psychonic means https://bugs.alliedmods.net/? If not I'm sorry, I don't know much about it either. I would just like to add my support to this request, and I also feel I shouldn't file the report (don't want a bunch of people filing the same report right :v that would get messy).

It's Sourcemod's language, Sourcepawn. Looks very similar to C though. It's actually an except from one of my own plugins.

Yes, that's the correct site, under Sourcemod in the TF2 category.

You will get an email from the bug tracker if/when the patch is approved/committed. It will be in 1.4 snapshots after that.
