Hi all,

Plugin atac2.5.4.14 is not working here...
I followed the instructions by the letter.
I keep getting [AMXX] Plugin file open error (plugin "amx_atac.amxx")
and [AMXX] Plugin file open error (plugin "amx_atac_cfg.amxx")
at each map-change.

I'm using amxmodx1.01, hlguard 1,72, hostitron3.00.10, metamod1.17.4, podbot 2.6 and statsme2.8.3.

Any quick ideas before i start reading throu this 22-page post?

Sounds like a setup error.

You have compiled the atac_cfg file into an amxx file, put it into the plugins folder and added it to plugins.ini yes??? Also, check the name in the ini matches the name of the file in the plugins folder (with the .amxx)

In game, goto console and type amx_plugins

You should see both amx_atac and amx_atac_cfg as running.

If all the above is a yes, (and check, don't just assume, it makes an ass of u & me), then repost.

I promise its an error with the installation and not the files themselves.

Make sure that both the names in the plugins.ini and plugins folders are spell exactly the same.

God how could i miss this!
I put: amx_atac.amxx instead of amxx_atac.amxx in ini.

because I did a copy-paste from the install.txt -file:
"3. Edit plugins.ini and add the plugin 'amx_atac.amxx' and 'amx_atac_cfg.amxx' to the bottom of the file."

(I did mention i followed the instructions to the letter ! )

I figured out why the jail function wouldn't work. There is a maximum of 100 maps coded into the sma. Once you get over that, it wont read the co-ordinates from the file, and therefore you don't get the jail option. Below is the fix.

Hello, i've looked through the thread but i can't find what i want...

Here is my issue. WHen i tk someone i usually dont' get a menu...BUT when i do i only have the option to kick or forgive, what settings have i messed up?

I just want to use this mostly as a fun module, where no one get kicked, just people get to punish those who kill them. Any help is appericated. Hit me up on aim @ zanyspydude if you'd rather do that.

This is why... This plugin can't be just use for a fun module. You can set the TK Limit to a very high number like 300 so that it won't kick or ban. This plugin doesn't work like that.

so set it like atac_tk_before_ban 300

I whent to download the .zip and their is the no "amxx_atac.amxx" in the .zip ... can anyone link me to it so i can install it?

OMG, read your sig, then read the manual.

There is a .sma in there, compile it on your comp using compile.exe (or compiler.exe, cant remember the name) and then put the .amxx file (it'll be in the compiled folder), in the plugins.ini. Find the tutorial on installing, its all there........................................ ....
