Ok im new here, i know nothing about coding or scripting all i want to know is how can i convert my amx file. you see the problem is tht my file has been changed into a readme file which means when i click on it, it opens up notepad and has all of this funny writing. when its a readme file it doesnt work but when it was ardinary like before then it would work, how do i fix this problem?

This is based on my info:
Your amxx script has becomn a Readme file by accident

Ok, heres how to change it:
1), first of, maybe what you did wrong, was selecting "info" in open with...
if not, heres whats wrong
Your script has simply been renamed..,
(for example, MyScript.amxx has been renamed to MyScript.txt, <- or what so ever,)
All you need to do is rename the stuff AFTER the dot ( . ) to amxx, so it will change like this:
MyScript.WHATITWASBEORE to MyScript.amxx
Heres a tough one though, if you have had the file opened, windows might have changed it to "suit its needs", so you might have to recompile if it causes servercrash, or simply wont work ;)

nah the name has been renamed, just the file has been opened with notepad
