Reply With Quote #1

Hello all, got an odd problem..

Decided to toss up my old 1.6 server today to mess around some since I'm sick of Source. I haven't touched the server in a while so it's fairly dated such as using AMX Mod X 1.79 etc. and so on. Server started fine, soon as I connected it crashed, so I figured it was due to outdated mods.

- Updated AMX Mod X
- Updated Metamod
- Updated HLDS

Tried again, nothing still crashes.

So I reinstalled HLDS into a new directory and tried connecting to it without any mods installed, a freshly installed server, nope still crashes. Not sure whats up with it crashing. My CS1.6 install is new as well, just redownloaded it the other night (via Steam it's a legit copy).

Error Signature
AppName: hlds.exe AppVer: 4.1.1.1 ModName: steam_api_c.dll

Error

I've searched before posting, sadly the only sites I can find with any info are people posting about patching their servers to work with non-steam clients, which I'm not doing nor interested in doing. My account and server are both fully legit.

Any help would be appreciated.

EditUhg.. never mind, forgot to set the map in the command line so it wasn't fully started. This can be locked/deleted lol.. sorry.
