Hello everyone my computer sux
so i thought i should buy a newq computer and im wondering if this is enough for Half-life 2 and other high tech games
3.4 ghz Pentium 4 with HT Technology
1024MB PC-4200 Dual Channel DDR2 533MHz [4x256] Ram
256MB PCI Express™ x16 ATi Radeon™ X850XT Platinum
74GB (10000rpm) seriell ATA hårddisk with 8MB DataBurst™ (I only need that becuase i am just gonna play Games)
Creative Labs SB Live 5.1 Sound card

Something more i should add?
i dont want it to be "OLD" after a Year
and i heard about Something called Alien, What is that???

The computer has MSI K8TNEO-FSR Socket 754 ATX Motherboard
But i dont want to use AMD 64 becuase the pentium is better for games
and is recommended by all of my friends
And i change to 2x512 with 533 mz
And ive heard that Ati radeon X850Xt PE is the best single graphic card
It has over 500 mz in overclock
Thanks for the advice of Cd rw and DVD is this good
16x DVD-ROM och 48x/32x/48x CD-RW
Edit: i got Speakers just two regulars

graphic cart: ati RADEON 9600xt
processor: amd Athlon(tm) xp 2200+ 1.8ghz

I havent buyed the computer i am looking at

I am gonna buy a Computer with

I agree with you (belcebub) that Intel processors are better for gaming. The "PE" in the X850XT stands for Platinum Edition? Wow, how much would that thing cost? That's the newest one ATi makes isn't it? I think that's the one that has their new GPU, I forget what it's called though.

And also in reply to Belcebub, Alienware is a company that makes really good computers (new technology) but they cost A LOT. I'm not sure if it would be safe to say it's cheaper to buy all the parts seperate than get one from them. Their site is www.alienware.com you can go check it out. I think they'll make you a custom one too.
