Is there any software out there to detect which function thats missing a bracket?

Well, you could use Crimson Editor, it is free, and has syntax highlighting as well as Bracket Underlining, so if you click on one of the block-brackets, the other corresponding bracket will be underlined with it, so you can see right away where the bracket pairs are..

Just try to remember this rule: You should always have the exact same amount of closing brackets as you have opening brackets.. () or {} or []
