Description
This plugin will allow survivors that "Take a break" to use the free roam camera.
So far I have only tested this in Left 4 Dead 2. It should work in Left 4 dead as well.

sm_freeroam
/freeroam in chat


Notes
I originally made this to enable free roam while in Spectator team.
Then I was made aware of spec_allowroaming 1

I always use freeroam as spectator ?? Maybe I don't know what freeroam is. I just hit space bar a few times and i'm no longer looking through a player or over a player, but I can move my camera anywhere and everywhere.

Ya, same here. The only thing this plugin would be helpful is if you "Take a Break" and want to freeroam.

Strange, I have never been able to free roam. Always goes from firstperson spectate to thirdperson spectate.
The only time I get free roam is when all survivors are dead...

This has always been like this for me, I have installed the game multiple times so I know its not a mod or anything.

No genius I haven't... I spent hours of my time searching through datamaps and netprops to get free roam.
Of course I tried the spacebar, I tried every damn key on the keyboard...

Options-Multiplayer
Above Gore there is spectator free look option. Enable it and then after third-person hit spacebar again to go to free roam. There ya go all done.
