It is still good practice to at least check that client > 0 on commands that can be entered by the server but cannot actually be used by the server. Echoing a message back with ReplyToCommand is much friendlier than errors in a log file.

Hey I love the plug and keep running on my server all the time but I want to know one thing is there a way to just have it on when playing Scavenge game play? Cause I played a campaign with 3 friends tonight on my server and when we got to the motel and there was gas cans everywhere.

Code implies it should be disabled during scavenge, no? If you could, please add an L4D2 check and fix the cvars (l4d2_ prefix) and command (sm_ prefix) so we can approve this.

I would also like to see probability of spawning 2 cans close together over spawning single cans incoorporated into the plugin; a good alternative to creating 'sets'.

The plugin already checks the gamemode and only loads the custom gas can stets if the gamemode is either 'scavenge' or 'teamscavenge'.

That is very odd cause I played the campaigns and the gas cans always show up on all the maps. I can take a screen shot and upload an information need to help fix this problem. Please let me know what information you need.

I have updated the plugin. Grab the latest from the first post.

-Added sm_ prefix to all commands -Fixed cvar prefix -Added cvar to disable gas cans from being scrambled -Added cvar to show a notification when cans get scrambled -Added user friendly notification when trying to use commands from server console, rcon, or host of a local server
I will work on adding the new functionality for how the gas cans spawn soon.

I have tried to replicate this with no success. If you could disable all other plugins, and see if the problem persists. If it does, please post in detail every step to reproduce this issue.

Couple of suggestions my friends and I came up with:

1) Be able to group cas cans. i.e. "If this gas can spawns, this one must spawn too."
This would prevent situations such as one gas can spawning alll the way on one side of the map, while the other 15 are alll the way on the other side.

2) Be able to create multiple gascan sets per map. One use of this is to create specific sets of 16 gas cans.
So instead of it picking 16 random gascans from 50 or so, it picks a predefined set of gascans.

Forgot to mention one last thing needed for approval,

CVARs should be saved&restored instead of using ResetConVar.

e.g.
PHP Code:

OnPluginEnd()

In your case DirectorStop() and DirectorStart().
