My server is located on my LAN. For some reason, when I try to use sm_fcvar on my client machine (also on my LAN, behind the same router), I get the following error message in my client console:

    Code:
Netchannel: unknown net message (38) from 96.228.14.160:27016.
    unknown message
Dumping messages for channel CLIENT(96.228.14.160:27016) 0x1436C100

The server confirms that its sending me the fcvar, but when I try to use fog_override and similar commands on my client, I get the response that the server has cheats disabled. I don't know whether or not sm_fcvar works for people who connect to my server from the internet, I haven't tried it with any of them.

What am I doing wrong? Are there any ports I need to have open and/or forwarded to my client machine? 27000 to 27050 are open and forwarded to my server.
