Wouldn't it be possible to use the .vpk files instead? Or a way to extract and makes new models, I feel like many models these days are .vpk files and takes time to convert them to models you can use with this plugin.

Would be great to create a tool that does this and make this process easier..

I don't believe TF2 allows a server to download VPKs to a client at all, something about security or something.

The models don't seem to be precaching. I wrote a .dep file for the models, and they seem to be downloading to the client. However, the client only sees a red "ERROR" model until the game is restarted, and then it works normally. Is there any way to fix this without asking everyone to restart their games to see the models?
