been reading this section so long I have a headache

Anyone know why im getting this error
L 09/07/2010 - 19:26:49: [sourcebans.smx] Database failure: [2003]: Can't connect to MySQL server on 'h50mysql17.secureserver.net' (10060)
L 09/07/2010 - 19:26:49: [sourcebans.smx] plugins/basebans.smx was unloaded and moved to plugins/disabled/basebans.smx

any help please

i would say take alook at ur databases make sure you have all the info thats needed there

It's not. They won't open ports needed.

so your paying for their web hosting, but they won't fulfill simple requests?

I use chimehost for hosting my server backend. Their real cheap and real helpful. I run sourcebans, psychostats, and custom achievements right now from them: ChimeHost

A lot of hosts won't open ports out of "security concerns", GoDaddy is just one of many.

1.You have your configs databases file wrong.
2.sourcebans REPLACES basebans
