ok well my issue is that it does do everything in the right direction but it will also effect those who cant be seen. for example i can hide behind a wall but if this is put into check it would return true when they cant really see me but are aimin at my direction, anyway to fix this?

You can also do an is_visible() <engine> check. Though, I don't think there is a 100% accurate way of determining whether a player is visible or not. The problem happens when a portion of a players model (arms\hands\feet) is visible but is_visible() will return as not being visible.

That will do the same thing as the engine function is_visible. You will get the same result that I mentioned above. anakin_cstrike mentions it at the bottom of the post.

You can try Ham_FVisible.
Also, you can try checking the player's bounding box to see if it is visible like in "Peeping Tom".

It checks:
  • Top
  • Left/Right Sides
  • Bottom
