I am nearing the end of my patience with AMXX-Studio. It lacks many popular IDE features (Debugger, Warnings, Errors, etc.) and has many annoying bugs (randomly replacing code, etc.). I guess it would be ok to use for small scripts which don't require any fancy IDEs to build, but I am afraid that is not the case for me.

So, would anyone happen to use or know a better alternative to AMXX-Studio?

You could turn off auto code-completion in the Options menu. You can also set the AMXX Studio to a local compiler, it will echo back any errors

If not, you can try http://www.textpad.com/ or (outdated) http://crimsoneditor.com/

I don't recall if either of them has the Pawn syntax, but it should.

Thanks for the first suggestion.

For the second suggestion, that is not what I was talking about. What I was talking about is a real-time warning and error reporter without any need to compile. I also would like a debugging utility in any IDE I would be working in.

Thanks for the help, but I can't see myself using any of these. I wanted a IDE with the quality and features of Eclipse (Image). But, that is probably an impossibility. Again, thanks for the help.

Nice Java. I guess you don't like NetBeans?
